I'm really drawn in by pears. Not really sure why, but I love images. Stampin' Up!'s Painterly Pears Suite collection is gorgeous. I just had to add the Perfectly Pears bundle to my collection.
The yellows and greens remind you of a warm summer day. The Painterly Pears designer series paper just makes me smile.
Today, I'm sharing a clean and simple card made with the Perfectly Pears bundle. I love that the stamp has an outline stamp as well as a solid filler stamp. You can use them separately or together.
Measurements:
- card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" (Basic White)
- cardstock layer 5 1/4" x 4" (Basic White)
Instructions:
- Cut card base and cardstock layer.
- Score cardstock layer at 1/4" on each side. (I used the Simply Scored Scoring tool. You can do this on the Stampin' Up! trimmer as well.)
- Ink up the pear and leaves outline stamp with Gray Granite Classic ink and stamp.
- Ink up the pear filler stamp in Crushed Curry and stamp.
- Ink up the leaves/stem filler stamp in Old Olive and stamp.
- Use watercolor pencils to add Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Early Espresso to your stamped images. *see video
- Use Coastal Cabana watercolor pencils to color around the pear.
- Stamp greeting in Secret Sea classic ink.
- Adhere layer to card base.
- Stamp inside if desired.
I just love how this card turned out. I love the texture of the watercolor pencil. If you want a smoother look, you can use a slightly damp paint brush or a blender pen to smooth the pencil lines.
Check out the scored lines. This adds texture and steps up the look of your finished card. I tried not color over my score line. Don't fret if you do though. It just adds to the texture.
I created another card with the smaller pear image. It has a solid filler stamp for the pears but not the stem and leaves. I used watercolor pencils to fill it in.

I hope you enjoyed this clean and simple card. Leave me a comment if you love pears and this set is on your list.
