The fall season is such a beautiful time. Nature shows off some vibrant and wonderful colors, pumpkin spice lattes and apple cider make their debut, the air gets crisp and it's time to hang out around the fire.
Fall also ushers in a time to be thankful and appreciate those around you. We've all seen those lists of things people are thankful for popping up around November. This year, I've decided to use my pocket cards to spread a little love to those who support me or my family in various ways. You can adhere a gift card to the notecard with a short message of thanks. This card is great for all year too- change up the theme to fit what you need.
You can grab the original pdf tutorial here. It has the basic measurements. Then you can customize the pocket any way you like.
The first card I made combined images from More Than Autumn stamp set and Gathering Moments stamp set by Stampin' Up!®. I love coffee (or latte) cup with the fall leaves. The Pretty Peacock two tone cardstock layers are embossed with Forever Plaid embossing folder and then distressed with a sanding block. I love the dark teal tones with the orange tones. For this card, I used Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie.
Details:
- The base and pocket are Cajun Craze cardstock
- Layers are Pretty Peacock two tone cardstock
- Leaves are stamped in Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Lost Lagoon classic inks and die cut with coordinating dies. (Gathering Moments bundle)

- Stamp greeting on a scrap Basic White cardstock strip. I used a phrase from Gathering Moments stamp set stamped in Cajun Craze classic ink.
My second card, I changed it up a little and used designer series paper for my layers. I used a pattern from Everyday Happiness designer series paper and Gathering Moments stamp set. The color scheme for this card is Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie.

My third pocket card uses the large leaf die from Gathering Moments. I did a fun stamping technique to give it some texture. I stamped the phrase "thankful for you" in lines over the entire leaf die cut. On this card, I changed up the base to a bolder color so the patterned paper really pops.

My next pocket card, I made live on my Coffee and a Card saturday morning Facebook video. The participants on the live are given choices to help create the card. We work through the creative process and see different ways to complete the card. I love seeing what my crafty friends will choose and how they want to finish a card. They choose to mix up some elements from my samples and use die cut leaves instead of stamped leaves. I love how this turned out.
